어려움을 겪고 있는 아이들에게 정말 위로가 되는 말이 무엇인지 정확히 알 수는 없지만, 다 괜찮아질 것이라는 것 하나는 약속해 줄 수 있는 사람이 되고 싶다. 정확히 언제 괜찮아질지, 어떠한 계기로 좋아질지 또한 알 수 없지만 분명 언젠가는 이런 상황들이 지금보다는 조금 더 나아질 것이라고 믿는다. 아이들이 손을 내밀었을 때에 슬퍼하는 그들의 손을 붙잡고 약속해주고 싶다. 나는 꿈에서 언젠가 본 것 같은 아름답고 잔잔한 자연의 정경 위에 약속을 하는 두 손을 그려 넣었다.

I don't know exactly what's really comforting for children in need, but I want to be a person who can promise them that everything will be okay. I don't know exactly when it will get better or how it will get better, but I believe that someday these situations will be a little better than they are now. When the children reach out, I want to hold their sad hands and promise them. I drew two hands making a promise on the beautiful and calm scenery of nature that I had once seen in my dream.
