부모 중 한 명이 감옥에 있어 많은 비극을 겪어야 했던 아이들의 이야기를 읽고 느낀 것을 토대로 만든 작품이다. 그 이야기들을 읽음으로써 아이들이 시련을 겪었거나 아직도 아파하고 있다는 것을 알게 되었고 그들의 아픈 마음을 느낄 수 있었다.

수감자 자녀들의 이야기를 읽고 작품을 구상하기 시작했을 때 나는 먼저 꽃을 떠올렸다. 찢어져 손상되어 있는 꽃의 잎과 줄기는 많은 불행을 겪은 아이들의 현재를 대변한다. 또한 바늘과 손톱이 나뭇잎을 통과하는 부분은 많은 사람들이 감옥에 있는 부모를 가진 아이들에게 주는 상처와 부정적인 반응이다.

그리고 윗부분을 보면 찢어진 꽃잎을 수리하는 도구와 실이 있다. 그들의 고통이 실제로 나아지고 있다는 것을 보여주고 싶었고, 그렇게 될 것이라는 희망에서 보여주고 싶었다. 내 그림의 주제는 수술실이다. 청록색 배경과 배경에 나타난 주름은 수술대에 펼쳐져 있는 원단을 보여준다. 고통을 치유하고 회복하는 수술대에 놓여진 아이들의 고민을 표현하고 싶었다.

It is based on the stories and feelings of children who went through many tragedies after one of their parents was imprisoned. The children found themselves still facing hardship and feeling pain.

When I read the stories of incarcerated children and began to envision my work, I first thought of flowers. The leaves and stems of torn and damaged flowers represent the present day of children who have experienced many misfortunes. Also, the part where the needles and nails pass through the leaves is the wound and negative reaction that many people cause to children with parents in prison.

Looking at the top, there are tools and threads to repair torn petals. I wanted to show that their suffering was actually recovering, and I wanted to show them the hope that it would be. The subject of my painting is the operating room. The blue-green background and wrinkles in the background show the fabric spread across the operating table. I wanted to express the worries of the children on the operating table, who are recovering from their pain.
