Seeing Eye-to-Eye
This artwork aims to show how individuals would perceive the same thing in multiple ways.
The painting expresses a couple laying on the ground looking up at the sky. As a child, I would lay down on the grass and look up at the sky with clouds of all shapes and sizes, and my friends and I would describe what shapes we see.
One cloud could represent many different things, there is no correct way to look at it, and as time passes the clouds would change its shape, and reflect vibrant colors as the sun sets. Nothing stays the same; impermanence and constant movement is represented by the fish. This is a representation of life, how things change, perceptions change; everything may not be as it seems.
The painting itself is open to interpretation, some may see the pupil of an eye, some may see a sunset, it is how you perceive it to be.
