Seeing the Brightside in the Darkness

It was devastating to hear about the life of prisoners’ children in South Korea. I was startled by the social prejudice that invisibly imprisons these children as they grow up. Society judges them as if they are also criminals, although they are innocent children whose parents are serving their duty for their wrongdoings.

I wanted to visualize the confused and fearful emotional state of the children in their early childhood. Additionally, I layered bright colors to represent the hope that I wish for them to have. As more people, like myself, acknowledge their unstable psychological condition, we will try to stop judging them and free them from biased opinions.
